International Youth Day, celebrated annually on August 12, serves as a platform to recognize the contributions of young people and raise awareness about the challenges they face worldwide. This year, the theme is “From Clicks to Progress: Youth Digital Pathways for Sustainable Development.” This theme underscores the significant role that digitalization plays in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and highlights the potential of youth to leverage technology for positive change in their communities and beyond. In line with this year’s theme, Nyimine Empowerment CBO (NYECBO) partnered with the Dala Girls Forum to host an impactful event at Nyamonye Primary School. The gathering attracted over 200 adolescent girls, who engaged in discussions focused on menstrual hygiene management. This initiative aimed to empower these young women by amplifying their voices on critical health issues that directly affect their dignity and well-being.#NYECBOVoices. #NyimineNyaloNyimineMalo.
